Palomino Flex Giveaway!!!

Today is the last day to get free Palomino Flex notebooks on Pencils.com. But, this Friday will be the day that two lucky people will each get one free small Palomino Flex notebook from me! I got the 3-pack from Pencils.com to review and in turn I’d like to share the love. I’m only keeping the one that I used in the review. (I’ll order more later) The two up for the giveaway are squeaky clean.

Just comment below and you’re in. Two winners will be chosen randomly using the Random Number Generator at Random.org. Winners will be posted on this week’s Weekly Wrap (Nov. 4th, 2011). One comment per person will be eligible, numbered in the order that they are posted, and multiple entries will be deleted. Contest runs from now until Thursday Nov. 3, 2011 @ 11:59pm Pacific Time. Winners will have one week to claim their notebook before I choose another winner to replace them. Basically, winners have until the following Weekly Wrap to send an email to john (at) pencilwrap.com with where they would like their notebooks shipped. Capisce??

This contest is open worldwide to everyone that wants a free notebook. (As long as the USPS delivers there.)

And in case you missed it, my Palomino Flex review is here. Good Luck!

NoteSlate

I’m not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, you get to save a lot of paper and scribble as much as you want, anywhere you want, and are able to save all of it. On the other hand, you are limited to the one writing instrument.

Still thinking about it. But , the price isn’t bad.

Reminds me of doodles I made in grade school.

Operation Chistmas Child Part 2

Well, we got all of the items together that we could fit in shoebox sized containers for Operation Christmas Child. This year we donated to a boy and a girl in the 5-9 year old range. The green box that was given to us at church we filled with the boy’s items; we bought a plastic container for the girl. Among the toiletries and toys we included many stationery items for both.

  • Small journal
  • Large journal
  • 8-pack of wood pencils
  • pencil sharpener
  • 4-pack of push pencils
  • 12-pack marker set
  • Disney Play Pack: 4 crayons, 24-page coloring book, & sticker sheet
  • eraser

They each will receive one of the items from the list above plus the same toiletries for each. We picked things that were definitely gender specific. For example, the Disney Pack for the girl has Disney princesses and the one for the boy has characters from the movie Cars. It was fun picking out items that will travel to who knows where. Angela and I had an interesting time trying to get all the items to fit; it was kind of like Tetris, but we managed to get everything  in there.

Operation Christmas Child

Today starts National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child. It’s time to fill up a couple of shoe boxes that end up in the hands of a children that otherwise would not have received anything. How does this relate to pencil wraps, pens and pencils you may ask? Well, check out the gift ideas list on the left. School Supplies!!!! Pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, and markers are just a few of the items listed. Besides being able to bless a child with fun toys and candy, we can get them much needed school supplies that they probably can’t afford. We picked up a box to fill at church and we’re going to get another box ourselves.

This year Samaritan’s Purse is making it possible to donate a box online with EZ Give, giving you the ability to follow your box and find out where in the world the stuff you packed ended up – even if it got there via dog sled! Click the picture to the left for more info on how Operation Christmas Child works and how it started.
