New Arrivals…

…to my Wish List!

Let’s start off with the Pelle Linen notebook refill for the Pelle Leather Journal available on JetPens.com. These look super nice even out of the leather journal cover. Plus, they are made in the U.S.A! Another item from the JetPens site that I have my eye on is the Rotring Tikky Rollerpoint Liquid Ink Pen. I have a Rotring 600 Mechanical Pencil that I love and am curious about trying out some of their other products.

And in case you didn’t hear, JetPens is now selling the mighty Palomino Blackwing! Enough said.

And finally, Rad and Hungry have announced the final kit of their first world tour and it’s from Spain!! This isn’t on my wishlist. As soon as I saw it announced, I put in my order. Get over to the RAH site soon. Something tells me these are going to sell out!

Well, that’s it for this week folks. Remember, this is not a sponsored post and I am not affiliated in any way with the vendors that I mentioned above. I’m just pointing everyone in the direction of where to get the loot I like. If, in the future, one of these posts is sponsored, it will be clearly stated.

Curious about other stuff I like? Check out all my other New Arrival’s posts. Thanks!

New Arrivals

This week I got an email about these Peanpole pencil extenders offered by JetPens. I’ve seen pencil extenders demoed by Alberto and thought they were cool for extending the life of a pencil, and keeping your hand from cramping by trying to write or draw with a tiny nub. Good idea and these come in several colors as well so very cool. I think I’m going for the Mahogany.

New to JetPens this week are these Moleskine Volant notebooks which come in Emerald Green, Oxide Green, Cadmium Orange, and Orange Yellow. The two sizes offered are the large (8.25″x5″) and pocket (5.5″ x 3.5″).

I like the latest iPad cases that are coming out. They seem to be targeting those of us that like our analog writing instruments. These are by Root Cases who make the case to look like a wooden notebook. They offer the cases in either walnut or bamboo.

These pencils look sweet!

Today Rad and Hungry (RAH) announced their latest kit and it’s from Canada! I happened to win this month’s hunt so I am super happy that I will actually be getting one of these. Going by their track record the past year, I think I might be getting a year’s subscription soon. (My birthday is coming up!) RAH kits are always cool and especially authentic. They get the best international stationery around. I reviewed the Mexico kit that I got a while back and I assure you they don’t just get anything. They do their research and the kits you receive have a high attention to detail from what they package to how they package it. I can’t wait to see the Canada kit firsthand.

My Franklin Covey catalog announced the new Booqpad iPad cover designed to hold not only your iPad2 but also a notebook, pen and business cards. Looks like a great way for your digital and analog notes to blend.

The TWSBI Diamond 540 fountain pens are back in stock at the Goulet Pen Co. and will probably be sold out again by the time you read this. They also have the limited edition TWSBI ROC100 fountain pens in stock…for a limited time.

I leave you with a little RUSH in honor of the Canada kit!

New Arrivals

Doane Paper has their new Leather Works covers for notebooks and jotters along with a 4 barrel holster for pens. Very nice, made in the U.S.A., genuine Horween® Chromexcel® leather. I’m considering the notebook cover. It might be a little wide for my pocket but I won’t know til I get it.

I’m ALWAYS looking for extra fine tip pens. When I saw these Mitsubishi Uni Pin Pens, I immediately added them to my wish list. I can’t wait to see the difference between the pigment and the oil-based inks next to each other.

And in case you haven’t heard, Pear Tree Pens is pulling up roots. So, they are clearing out their inventory. Their Special Deals section has turned into their Clearance Section and you’ll receive 1/3 off all the items in that section when you buy 3 or more. Hurry because the sale ends on October 1st. I picked myself up a trio of Rhodia and got 1/3 off each of these.

Into the Fray!!!

The Aurora Ipsilon Satin Fountain Pen now being offered by Jet Pens caught my eye. Unfortunately that’s exactly where it punched my wallet as well. I’m going to have to save up for this beauty but it will be added to the pen wish list.

Gel pens are my favorite. This Parker Urban looks like a gel pen kicked up a notch and has the price to show for it. It will be nice to have a twist-action gel pen to add to the arsenal. (I would have chosen the pic for the other one but it had twilight in the name.)

For the artist that wants to make the doodles on their clothes pop, Sharpie is accommodating. These Stained brush tip fabric markers are made to be used to draw on your pants, shirts, hats, or whatever you’re wearing. I would have gone for something like this back in high school when I would doodle on my pants when bored in class. They resist fading during normal cold wash cycles and if you only hang dry the garment.

Earlier last week Pencils.com announced that California Republic Stationers has a new series of hand crafted notebooks that will be revealed starting this Monday, September 19th through Friday September 23rd. Newsletter subscribers will have first dibs during a subscriber only presale on the 26th. The items will sell to the general public the next day. I can’t wait to see all of these to know how many will make their way to my shelves.

This Mont Blanc Writers Edition Carlo Collodi Pinnochio Fountain Pen is something that I’ll probably not add to my collection. It’s beautiful but I have a mortgage to pay.

And for those of us that follow the GTD guidelines for always staying current with our work, Staples has 100 packs of 3-Tab manila folders on sale for 50% off. I know that David says that you need to keep at least 100 on hand so here is our chance to stock up for half off.

Last week I had the Stabilo Point 88 Fineliner markers on the New Arrivals post. Shockingly The Pen Addict has already reviewed one after picking up a couple. Check out his review of Ultramarine Blue.

New Arrivals

Last week it was all notebooks, this week there’s a little more variety.

I just saw these Stabilo Point 88 Fineliner Marker Pens in an email from JetPens. I’m liking how these markers are designed to look similar to pencils . They are offered individually for 80 cents. They also come in packs of 10, 20 and 25, but you pay more per in the 25 pack. The best deal is the 20. I think I’m gonna go with that.

As part of Lifehacker’s Stuff We Like category,  they profiled these highlighter pencils by Stubby Pencil Studio. They “use no ink solvents, no volatile organic compounds and are biodegradable.” Nice. I can always use more highlighters. Especially ones that don’t stink and won’t bleed through my pages.

The new TWSBI Diamond 540 Fountain Pen. I slacked off and didn’t get myself the 530 when everyone was saying it was so great. I’m not going to miss getting the 540. Pick one up either at Goulet Pens or the TWSBI eBay store.

I still haven’t gotten my hands on the new Habana with the ivory colored paper. I really liked the bright white paper, but I felt that the 8mm line spacing was a little large for the way that I write. The fact that the new version has 5.5mm lines makes it even more attractive. I just wish it also came in brown. Brian from Goulet Pens made a great comparison video that only serves to provoke my covetousness. Enjoy!

New Arrivals

I’m adding a new category! New Arrivals is a category where I hope to do a weekly preview of all the newer stationery paraphernalia and writing instruments that I’m excited about getting my hands on. These will be things that I have on order, haven’t been released, or I have added to wish lists somewhere. And I will tell you where. Let’s get started.

First up are these Japanese Campus notebooks. I have several of these notebooks already. The ones I bought have headers to write in subject, date and the like, and one is grid ruled. I picked mine up at Bunbodo. I’m glad to see that Jet Pens is now carrying them! Hopefully they will expand the selection.

Rhodia just put out a bunch of stuff that I can’t wait to get my hands on.  At the moment I’m waiting on a pair of the Rhodia Unlimited Notebooks along with a 2012 Rhodia WebPlanner that will replace my 2011 Moleskine. (Review/comparison to come soon.) Below is the video that Brian from The Goulet Pen Company posted showcasing and explaining all the new Rhodia items. I think I’ve watched it 5 times. Can’t get enough.

There it is. The first New Arrivals post. Short and to the point. The links I posted throughout will take you directly to the items that I  specifically mentioned so you can get them too.
